Two years ago, Sue and I packed up our cats, dog and household (reflecting many years of residence in California) and drove cross-country to the Detroit Metro Area. This change of venue literally brought me full circle to where I started many transitions ago. It was reassuring to discover that my childhood home still stood in a nicely maintained Detroit neighborhood.
Is there a subject you would like me to address? Send me an email, and I will see what I can do. Until then . . . ENJOY!
Transitions were always their greatest moments of growth and discovery. So I asked myself, ”When should I collect my own energy, appreciate all I had learned from where I was, then integrate it so it could flourish where I had come to be, and might yet go?”
My major moves have been predicated on honoring an intuitive sense of an ending . . . and opening myself to locating the next beginning. It’s not always necessary to change venues, or partners, or whatever as both the “Goodbye” and “Hello” can sometimes be in the context of the same venue or relationship. The most important part is in recognizing and implementing the transition.
Not coincidentally, my website has also changed. Like my life, it has become more highly prioritized, synthesized, and focused . . . a theme for living and optimizing the quality of nourishment from relationships that mean the most. With the stimulus of new surroundings combined with old ones, it has been an exciting time of connecting with people and services. I am enjoying teaching through workshops once again, made new once again in response to my new environment.
My availability for phone sessions allows me to continue to be available to my clientele no matter where I am, as well as offering me the opportunity to welcome new clients from wherever they might call. My home office is comfortable and welcoming, reflects my cultural heritage, and offers an ideal setting for both new local clients, as well as those visiting from outside the area. Converting to a private suite during the evenings, it provides an ideal setting to accommodate those seeking intensive sessions over a few day period. Please take a few minutes to explore my new website . . . my “virtual home” on the Internet.
Long-time friends and clients . . . I invite you to be in touch whenever you are so inclined, and hope to hear from you as we journey forward in our lives. If this is your first visit to my website, WELCOME! I welcome your calling to explore whether I might be the right counselor to assist with your own transitions. Truly, my clients across the nation are my “extended family.” To those who are already part of my world as well as those just considering, I look forward to time shared together.ENJOY!
These monographs are generally statements, notions, concepts, and questions pertaining to relationships. “Relationships” in this context includes a broad range of ways that each of us interact with ourselves, others, substances, ideas . . . and even ways of life.
My intention is to invite you to add to the quality of nourishment and understanding derived from all of your relationships. (Former entries can be found by clicking on the ARCHIVES to your right.)
Unpacking our bags, we allowed ourselves to be amazed, as flowers and plants broke through the ground all around us. We began our new lives feeling fresh and alive. Our home is in a wooded area halfway between Ann Arbor and “The D” (Detroit), providing easy access to the energy and multi-cultural diversity of the area, and easy connectivity to Michigan’s many lakes and fascinating towns.
When is something over? When is it time to say, “Goodbye” in order to be free to say, “Hello?” These were the questions that began to surface for me over the past few years. After living in The Bay Area for over 40 years, I felt that my energy had become diffused. That energy one discovers when encountering new people, places and experiences. The question confronting me was the same question many of my clients had presented to me over the years.
Periodically, I enjoy reaching back through writings I have composed over the years to be made available as monographs to be published on this page. In addition, you might find announcements of scheduled workshops, and seminars.
