ABOUT

As a Psychotherapist, I approach counseling as a natural occurrence existing within contemporary life. Sessions are interactive and holistic, respectful and compassionate; employing thought processes, feelings and behaviors. (We often laugh a lot!) Although trained in both classical and contemporary theory and methodology, I see people as my books . . . and my library is constantly expanding. Nourished by my own experiences, those of my clients and the places we intersect, I serve as both companion and guide while my clients discover, own and embrace their own natural resources.

I consider my work an art form . . . the natural tools of my craft being intuition, creativity, approximation and invention. The illusion of security perpetuated by living in fixed, emotional structures is replaced with a genuine security in trusting one’s ability to create structure as needed . . . like a spider spinning a web, rather than living in a cage.

MY BACKGROUND

Beyond my academic education, my personally designed, experientially-oriented doctoral studies focused on accessing and optimizing my natural resources. This was accomplished through my work with the original leaders of a psychotherapy renaissance that originated in San Francisco during the 1960’s.
